Vibration and Noise Technical Engineering Laboratory (Provincial Innovation Platform)

This laboratory is based on a national key discipline, a national key discipline and three key first-level disciplines in Jiangsu Province, relying on Vibration and Noise Control Research Center at Jiangsu University and combining the resources of the related disciplines. It aims to build a research team, in which the members all have a high academic degree and have a good spirit of teamwork, to carry on production, teaching and research activities.

Strategy and plan
Through three years of construction, the newly added investment will reach 10 million yuan, and the newly added area of the laboratory will reach 1000 square meters, bringing the total area to 3,000 square meters. Five platforms are planned to be built: 1) vibration and noise theory and technology research platform; 2) Large-scale equipment vibration and noise technology research and development platform; 3) environmental vibration and noise technology research and development platform; 4) new acoustic material research and development platform; 5) vibration and noise public service platform. It aims to establish a high-level scientific research team.

The proposed content and scale of the laboratory
It is planned to focus on five platforms: 1) vibration and noise theory and technology research platform; 2) large equipment vibration and noise technology research and development platform; 3) environmental vibration and noise technology research and development platform; 4) new acoustic material research and development platform; 5) vibration Public service platform with noise. The site of the laboratory will be in the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Mechanics at Jiangsu University. The total investment of the project will be increased by 10 million yuan, bringing the total investment to 50 million yuan. The total area of the laboratory will be 3,000 square meters.

Administrator
Prof. Bi Qinsheng received his PhD degree in Dynamics and Control from Tianjin University and is now a member of the Dynamics and Control Committee of the Chinese Society of Mechanics, and a member of the Standing Committee of the Nonlinear Vibration Professional Committee of the China Society of Vibration Engineering. He was selected as a New Century Talent by the Ministry of Education in 2007. He has published 148 SCI papers and hosted 7 national natural science funds. In 2015, Prof. Bi won a third-class award of provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress
