From May 17^thto May 20^th, 4 experts of civil engineering professional evaluation (accreditation) from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development visited our faculty. They made 4-day on-the-spot investigation and evaluation on condition for running the major of civil engineering. President of Jiangsu University Prof. Shouqi Yuan, Vice President Prof. Qiang Mei, several leaders of some relevant departments of Jiangsu University, all the leaders, persons in charge of majors, teachers of the department of civil engineering of our faculty attended the meeting and inspection activities.

After the opening meeting, the 4 expects inspected the laboratories and visited classes separately. They also checked our teaching courseware, exam papers, graduation design works, curricular practice, books and reference materials and so on. In order to help the experts comprehensively get to know about our teaching conditions, we held 4 different conversation meetings.

In the morning of May 20^th, the feedback meeting was held in the same hall as the opening meeting. Expects fully endorsed our experience and characteristics in running the major of civil engineering. Finally, they gave some advises on continuously promoting internationalization, optimizing teachers’ structure, increasing laboratory investments, improving teaching and scientific research conditions.

President Shouqi Yuan appreciated the expects suggestions and hoped that Jiangsu University will take this opportunity to promote the development of civil engineering and try our best to make the aim at developing first class high-level university come true.
