On 15th Nov., the Fifth Architectural Festival was held by our faculty in the west of the great hall. Dean Prof. Ying Luo, chairman of faculty affairs committee Zhang Hong, and deputy dean Quan Chen and Jianfei Lu, directors of our two departments all presented at the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony began with prof. Ying Luo’s speech. He was very pleased to see so many creative works and was fully convinced that the buildings will be more natural, more functional and more harmonious with the surrounding buildings in the future. At the same time, he put forward higher requirements for students, hoping that they can use their creativity to design a new structural project of the building of our faculty.

Then, the most attractive part of the fifth architectural festival, was the structure innovation contests. Prof. Ronggui Liu and six teachers were invited to be judges. They made detailed comments on students’ works and gave them many suggestions. During the ceremony, there were many wonderful performances too.

In the end, Prof. Ronggui Liu made a summary statement. He said that he was surprised to see so many junior students taking part in the activity and suggested that senior students should enhance their ability to put professional knowledge into practice.
