Prof. Wu from DaLian University of Technology visited our faculty and gave a lecture on the topic of "Composite structural health monitoring based on guided wave method: diagnosis, quantification and application in extreme environment" on Sep. 28th. The lecture is hosted by Prof. Jianguo Zhu, director of the department of mechanics and engineering science.
Prof. Wu introduced his team's research achievements in the field of composite health monitoring based on guided wave method in recent years, including diagnostic methods, quantitative methods, system software development, two full-scale experimental studies on the prototype structure and the performance of the piezoelectric sensor system in extreme low temperature environment characterization study.
After the lecture, teachers and students exchanged with Prof. Wu. The depth and innovation of his research delivered a new inspiration to our teachers and students.
