Dean Prof. Ying Luo, Prof. Boqiang Xu and lecturer Guidong Xu attended the “17th International Conference on Experimental Mechanics” in Rhodes, Greece. The conference sponsored by the European Experimental Mechanics Association, which aimed at provide a platform for researchers and engineers to report the advanced research results and exchange the frontier problems.

The conference attracted more than 100 experts from various countries and areas. It involved the latest research trends and frontier which reflected the latest achievements and development of International Experimental Mechanics and Strong Dynamic Load.

Prof. Ying Luo made a report on the topic of “Measurement of Transverse Flexoelectric Coefficient Based on BST Micro Cantilever Beam", Prof. Xu Boqiang made a report on the topic of "HHT-Based AE Feature Extraction of Damage Mechanism in CFRP Laminates", Guidong Xu also made a report named "The effect of damage and temperature on electrical impedance of the PZT-beam coupled structure" .
