Scientific Research Field

Research focuses on dynamics and control, with an emphasis on dynamics issues in mechanical equipment under the background of new materials and new energy. The main areas of research include:

(1) Nonlinear Passive Vibration Damping: Control of broadband vibrations, nonlinear targeted energy transfer, etc.

(2) Nonlinear Noise Reduction: Noise control, dynamic design and optimization of sound-absorbing structures or materials, etc.

(3) Nonlinear Dynamics Analysis: Bifurcation, chaos, nonlinear normal modes, internal resonance, non-smooth dynamics, impact and collision, etc.

(4) Vibration Energy Harvesting: Integrated research on system vibration energy harvesting and suppression based on nonlinear unidirectional vibration energy regulation.

(5) Data-Driven Dynamic Control: Advanced dynamic control of mechanical systems using artificial intelligence or data-driven methods.

(6) Wave Propagation and Nonreciprocity: Wave propagation characteristics and anisotropy in mechanical systems.
