The Mid-Autumn Festival is a day for celebration and reunion with family members. However, minority students who came to Jiangsu university far from home can’t enjoythe fun of family reunion. Thus, our faculty held a celebration activity onthis special day in order to bring them with some family warmth.
At 1pm, the cooking classroom was crowded with students, most of whom are minorities.Students carried moon cake ingredients and got to know steps of making mooncakes by a detailed explanation of Mrs. Liu. Made the moon cakes wrapper, packeted stuffing, added to the mold, baked, then amoon cake is done. Quan Chen, deputy chairman of Faculty Affairs Committee alsojoined the crowd of students making moon cakes. Tibetan students Geji Zhuomasaid: “I have never eaten such delicious moon cakes before. Not only this isthe first time I made it by myself , but also I can feel the love for minority students from the faculty”.

This activity enabled the students to feel the realsense of the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is no longer stack up with exquisite packaging ,expensive gifts ,instead, it contained the most sincere feelings andwas far from the commercial and utility. Also, it made the minorities feel the homewarmth, which making a big step for minority nationality and Han to create a bright future.
