On the afternoon of October 18th, in order to arouse teachers' enthusiasm to participate in English teaching and promote the improvement of English teaching level, the faculty held an English teaching competition in Room 613 of Sanshan Building.The competition was presided over by Lu Chunhua，the vice dean of the faculty. In the meantime, the faculty invited Li Xinchao，the deputy director of Dean's Office, Su Jianhong，the vice dean of Overseas Education College, Han Yu，the vice dean of the faculty and Yin Jie，the professor of the faculty as judges. Some young teachers of the faculty observed this teaching competition.

Six teachers participated in this competition by voluntary registration and department recommendation. Through careful preparation, the contestants won the recognition of the judges with their targeted teaching design, prominent teaching content, innovative and diverse teaching methods and vivid and fluent English expression, showing the teaching style of faculty teachers in competition site.

After the competition, the judges commented and explained some aspects, including from the making of courseware to the combination of blackboard writing, from the teaching method to the classroom organization, from the ideological and political elements of education to the transmission of to know China, to love China, and be friends with China,which benefited the contestants and the young teachers who participated in the observation. The faculty will take this opportunity to promote learning and continue to build a platform for teachers to learn from each other and improve their English teaching ability.
