On the morning of May 13th, professor Xiao Jianzhuang, PhD supervisor from Tongji University, visited our faculty and gave an academic report with the title of "Technology Development and Carbon Reduction Analysis of Recyclable Concrete" in the conference room 908. Some teachers and graduate students of our faculty listened to the report.

  Professor Xiao vividly introduced his research achievements in the development of recycled concrete technology from five aspects: solid waste and its recycling, the technical practice of recycled concrete, the 3R principle and the development of recycling technology, the sustainable theory of engineering structure and the development prospect of recycling technology. He put forward relevant suggestions on recycling of solid waste from construction, emphasized the need to improve laws and regulations, control the source of solid waste from construction, strengthen market drive, study the treatment and recycling technology of solid waste from construction, establish and improve the standard system for the recycling of solid waste from construction, and promote the industrialization of the recycling of solid waste from construction.

  After the report, the present teachers and students had an in-depth exchange and discussion with Professor Xiao. His profound academic knowledge, vivid academic language and profound academic attainments left a deep impression on our teachers and students.
