On February 14th, 2019, Jiangsu Civil Engineering & Architectural Society organized a project appraisal meeting in Zhenjiang. The project of “Self-sensing properties and applications of pre-stressed concrete structures based on carbon fiber materials” carried out by Jiangsu University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology and Jiangsu Hengshen Co., Ltd. was successfully passed.

“Self-sensing properties and applications of pre-stressed concrete structures based on carbon fiber materials” studied the mechanism of action of carbon fiber composites with sensing properties, proposed the preparation process and key parameters and achieved the unification of mechanical properties and sensing properties.
The appraisal committee believes that the research results are innovative and have important significance for the preparation of carbon fiber materials and the formulation of relevant specifications for engineering design. It is recommended to continue to carry out more in-depth research on the intelligent characteristics of carbon fiber materials based on the existing result to make it apply to engineering practice as soon as possible.
