Recently, the member of Norwegian Academy of Technical Sciences, the National Thousand Talents Program, Prof. Bai Yong of Zhejiang University and Changjiang Scholar, National Outstanding Youth Fund, Prof. Zhaodong Xu from Southeast University, and Associate Professor Zhiwei Miu from Southeast University visited our faculty.

Prof. Xiaonong Cheng, former vice president of Jiangsu University, Prof. Ying Luo, the leader of the Discipline of Mechanics, and Prof. Boqiang Xu, deputy dean of the Faculty of Science made a communication with Prof. Bai Yong and Prof. Zhaodong Xu. They have conducted full exchanges on frontier scientific research cooperation and scientific research platform construction and reached a preliminary intention on future cooperation.

Prof. Yong Bai presided over dozens of projects about large ship structures, subsea pipelines/standpipes, underwater production systems, offshore platform structural design, analysis, and risk assessment. And Prof. Zhaodong Xu is mainly engaged in structural seismic and vibration control, structural health monitoring, intelligent materials and structures.
