During March 25th-27th, 2016, National Workshop on Mechanical Mechanisms, Methods and Applications for Intelligent Sensing successfully held by our faculty in Zhenjiang. Many leaders of Jiangsu University and our faculty attended the opening ceremony of this Workshop. Besides, lots of experts and scholars from 40 high-level universities in China and more than 100 students and teachers of our university attended this meeting.
In recent years, in order to meet the national demand and serve to the economic development, our country and Jiangsu University continued to push basic scientific research. Up to 2016, the National Natural Foundation Committee funded several related projects which promoted the intelligent sensing method and technological development effectively. Our faculty also gained a Project of International Cooperation and Exchanges with the name of “A rapid non-contact inspection system for accurate damage imaging in large-scale structures: theory and methods” in 2015.
In the national workshop, many professors made thematic reports and a lot of experts and students had a heated discussion on some questions in frontiers of mechanics. In a word, the academic atmosphere of the workshop and scholars’ exciting report left a deep impression to our teachers and students.
