During Oct. 17th-19th in 2015, Dean prof. Ying Luo, prof. Boqiang Xu, the deputydean of faculty of science, and associate prof. Jianguo Zhu, the director of the Department of mechanics, participated in 2015 national experimental mechanics seminar on the application of new technology and method which was held in Putian, Fujian.

The conference invited many famous experts and scholars from home and aboard to exchange their ideas of new technologies and new methods in the field ofengineering application of experimental mechanics, so as to promote the rapiddevelopment of experimental mechanics. Associate prof. Jianguo Zhu was invited to make a report, which received a warm response and was praised by experts andscholars.

The meeting also discussed the work arrangement of 2017 National Conference on experimental mechanics, the development plan of the experimental mechanics journal and the new dynamic of the application developments in 2016 National Natural Science Foundation, etc.
