Recently, the 'Thousand University Students Explore Jiangdu' special event hosted by Jiangsu University successfully. Nearly 70 Chinese and overseas students from the faculty of Civil Engineering and Mechanics embarked on an unforgettable internship journey in Jiangdu District, Yangzhou.
From March 12th to 13th, the students visited several enterprises, including Forise (Jiangsu) Auto Parts Co., Ltd., Yangzhou Jianghuai Light Vehicle Co., Ltd., and Jiangsu Yawei Machine Tool Co., Ltd. They gained insights into advanced production facilities, manufacturing processes and innovative technologies, and engaged in face-to-face exchanges with technical staff and managers.

During the internship, the students enjoyed an immersive exploration of historical and cultural heritage of Jiangdu. They visited Shaobo Ancient Town, followed Youth Study Route to experience the blend of historical charm and modern vitality, toured the Jiangdu Water Diversion Project, tasted authentic Huaiyang-style dishes, to appreciate the millennia-old culinary traditions and the magnificent scope and engineering marvel of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.

This internship program adopted heuristic, experiential, and interactive multi-dimensional teaching methods to deliver education on Chinese culture and national conditions alongside professional practice. It enabled students to deeply appreciate the profound heritage of Chinese culture, gain insights into the industrial development of Jiangdu District, and accumulate valuable experience for their academic and career development.
