On April 29th, our faculty held a special lecture on challenges and appropriate responses in Scientific Research and Academic Morality in the era of the growth of generative artificial intelligence.

During the lecture, Prof. Han Yu conducted an in- depth analysis of the differences between humans and AI in scientific research capabilities. He pointed out that generative artificial intelligence demonstrates remarkable efficiency advantages in data processing, literature analysis, and experimental simulation, which had significantly enhanced the efficiency of scientific research, but also may gave rise to issues such as academic misconduct and intellectual property disputes. We should take an objective view on the role of AI in our research process and give proper credit to the sources of information and ideas.
