In order to deeply study and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Institute of Structural Health Management held a special Party class titled “Promoting High-Quality Development with New Productive Forces” in Conference Room 414 of the Leisi Building on the afternoon of October 9th. Everyone from the institute attended this session.

The keynote speaker, Zhu Jianguo, Dean of the institute, comprehensively elaborated on the background, connotation, and importance of the concept of new productive forces. He pointed out that high technology, high efficiency, and high quality are the fundamental characteristics of new productive forces, emphasizing the significant requirements for developing productive forces in the new era and on the new journey. How can we promote high-quality development? Drawing on the development of the institute, Zhu suggested focusing efforts on innovation, guided by the needs of national and social development, and to tackle the "bottleneck" technological challenges and key scientific issues in technological advancement. He also proposed optimizing research directions, further improving research planning, breaking down disciplinary barriers, enhancing cooperation between industry and academia, and promoting efficient collaborative innovation with enterprises and research institutions. This approach aims to bridge the gap between theoretical technology and practical capabilities, creating a favorable ecosystem for high-quality development and the cultivation of high-end talent, thus contributing to the high-quality development of the school's undertakings.

During the learning process, the participants were all actively engaged and reflected deeply, and demonstrated a strong enthusiasm for learning. Everyone expressed that this party class was not only a cleansing of thoughts but also a mobilization for action, inspiring them to take on greater responsibilities and strive for excellence in their respective positions.
